Janet Evanovich has posted what I believe is going to be the final installment to the Wicked Appetite
excerpts she's been posting for the past couple of months. The first eight or nine Stephanie Plum books were so good, part of me has hopes that these Diesel books can at least come close. Another part of me says we've already seen Diesel and those books weren't even close to the first Plum books. Still, it's a new series and I'm going to give it a chance.

There is certainly some promise there for a good series, and it's apparent that Janet Evanovich wants to explore the whole Urban Fantasy thing.
Carl the Monkey has had some funny moments, but at some point he just got silly and I didn't enjoy him anymore. I would probably be a lot more excited about this series if I didn't know Carl the Monkey would part of the cast of characters.
