* Excerpts, First Chapters, and Sneak Peeks

 
Some of the books on my Anxiously Awaiting list have excerpts available at the author's or publisher's websites.

Next up is:

• The sixteenth (sort of) Stephanie Plum book by Janet Evanovich - I still read the Plum books, but I no longer get excited about the possibility of either Ranger growing a spine that would allow him to commit to a relationship... or Morelli allowing Stephanie to be who she is without trying to mold her into what he wants her to be. The excerpt doesn't give us an idea if this is going to be a Ranger book or a Morelli book. I'm hoping for Ranger.
• The eighth Kitty Norville book by Carrie Vaughn - I am very excited about the next Kitty book because I'm happy Cormac is finally returning - the first excerpt sets things up and the second excerpt has a nice bit of info about how he is going to fit back in.
• The eighth Psy/Changelings book by Nalina Singh - I'm looking forward to the next Psy/Changelings book as well, though it's Hawk's book that will really have me chomping at the bit and that's still a year away. Until then, the excerpt for Max's book gives us an idea of what Max is going to be dealing with.
