Creation in Death shows us more of Eve's history with Feeney, and shows us a little more of who she was when she was younger.
Eve is doing Feeney's old job, and he's usually good to follow her lead as Primary, but nerves are raw with this case, and we see some friction between Eve and Feeney.
The pacing was off a bit here. On the one hand it was a frantic race to find the killer before he could kill again, but on the other hand things seemed to get bogged down a few times.
Here's the blurb:
Lieutenant Eve Dallas must outwit a serial killer known as The Groom who has escaped her grasp before—one who is now killing again.
As for the writing elements: - The plot was good, but does the future really have this many serial killers?
- Pacing had a few issues.
- Prose and dialogue were excellent.
- Character development was added to by showing us a bit more of Eve's history.
- World-building was consistent with previous books.
