Haunted in Death was a darn good short story. There doesn't appear to be an official blurb for this one, so I'll just say that it once again involves two crimes, 80 plus years apart, and Eve manages to solve both of them.
I enjoy the fact that when paranormal stuff comes up, Eve doesn't believe and Roarke does. I also enjoy the fact that the author allows both Eve and Roarke to keep their personal beliefs without too much discussion. In this case the paranormal bit in question would be ghosts, of course.
- The plot was nicely thought out, even if I did know the killer early on.
- Pacing was good.
- Prose and dialogue were exceptional.
- Character development wasn't pushed too much here, just nudged along.
- World-building was nice, since we see a bit of "our time" in this one.
